Simone Harrison – President of the Peachtree BMW CCA

I’ve been a BMW CCA member for twenty years. I started with the club in the National Chapter in Washington DC with my first BMW, a 1997 318TI. In 1998, I moved to Georgia and swapped the TI for an e30 M3. Driving God’s Chariot firmly hooked into the Bimmer experience. Today I drive a 2016 M2, track a 1997 M3, and bring my e30 M3 out for weekend fun.

I’ve made so many dear friends in the club. The CCA is a big part of my life, and I really enjoy the community. I’ve served on the board as Vice President and Member at Large previously and now in 2018 as chapter President. To keep our community strong in Georgia, we hold events that appeal to many different automotive interests. That’s something we’ll continue this year and do even better. I’m excited to work with Will, Patrick, Diane, and Geordie – my fellow board representatives – further the charter and purpose fo the Club: learning fun and togetherness. Please feel free to contact me or any of my team and Hope to see you at an invent soon.

I joined the BMW CCA Peachtree Chapter in 2015 when I moved back to Atlanta and purchased a Black Z4 M Coupe. After looking for a new shop to help me transform this new beauty I met David Harrison who introduced me to the club. The family atmosphere of the club earned a member for life. I look forward to assisting the team and dedicating my resources to help expanding the club.

Treasurer – Patrick King

After being invited to an M-School in 2011, I bought my first BMW; a beautiful black post-LCI E90. I was hooked and joined the Club soon thereafter. Today, I drive a space grey E92 335is with a few tasty mods. While the driving is fun, the Club is special because of the amazing friendships that I’ve made over the years. I joined the boards to see more of everyone and because “Geordie talked me into it.”  In real life, I own an investment firm and live in West Midtown with my elderly beagle, Dugg E. Fresh. I’m also active in the Atlanta Clemson Club.

Secretary – Diane McHorney

My husband Mark and I joined the Peachtree Chapter in 2008 shortly after we purchased our first BMW, an e46 M3. Unfortunately, it was totaled in a rear end collision a couple of years ago and we had to buy a new car. We currently have a Subaru STI – yes not a BMW! But we have made so many wonderful friends through the group that we have stayed involved in both track and social events.

I look forward to working with the board and working on the newsletter each quarter! If you have any ideas, pictures, articles and how-to – anything – please get in touch, I would love to include as many people and stories as possible!

Geordie Johnston – Member at Large

I have been with the Peachtree Chapter for 15 years, my wife Anna-Katherine and I did our first driving event in 2004 and have been hooked ever since. I have been an instructor for over eight years, and Anna-Katherine served on the HPDE committee for ten years. We have two sons with two more children on the way (twins!), and I am the general manager of the Butler Tire in Buckhead.

As the Member at Large, I set up our monthly dinner socials as well as other events for our group to network and have fun. If you have any ideas, please get in touch!
